7th Grade girls track meet at Ponder

 

On April 5th 2022,  Ponder had their district track meet with Whitesboro, Paradise, Boyd, Callisburg, Valley View, Pilot Point and S&S. 

In the 100m Dash Waverly Rausch placed Fifth place with a time of 14.96 seconds. In Fourth place Pearl Fomby from Valley View had a time of 14.92. In the 400m run Bella Jimenez placed 3rd with a time of 1:10.93. She was behind Kaylee Walker who is from Callisburg and Vivian Caddell from Paradise. Walker got a time of 1:09.20 and Caddell got a time of 1:07.11. In the 2400m run Sydnie Duhon from Whitesboro placed 1st with a time of 11.03.35, Lynette Crawford from Whitesboro got a time of 11.03.77 and placed 2nd, Heidi Hoffman from Valley View placed 3rd with a time of 11.08.17, and Hannah McClain from Ponder placed 4th with a time of 11:33:30. 

In 100m Hurdles Campbell Cooper placed first with a time of 17.97, Vivian Caddell from Paradise placed 2nd with a time of 18.28, and Rian Hughes placed third place with a time of 18.67 seconds. In the 300m hurdles, Campbell Cooper placed 1st with a time of 54.18, Madison Pokluda from Paradise placed 2nd with a time of 54.98, Caday Rodriguez placed 3rd with a time of 57.90, and Rian Hughes got 6th place with a time of 58.91.

In the 4x100m relay the Ponder 7th grade girls placed 5th behind Whitesboro but ahead of S&S with a time of 56:93. The people who competed are Caday Rodriguez, Waverly Rausch, Ryley Parker, and Bella Jimenez. 4x200m relay Bella Jimenez, Vada Cochrum, Kate Simmons, and Campbell Cooper got 2nd place behind Boyd. Ponder had a time of 2:02.50 ,and Boyd had a time of 1:59.59. In the 4x400m relay the Ponder 7th grade girls team Rian Hughes, Kate Simmons, Ryley Parker, and Jessie Norwood had a time of 5:02.75 and were in 5th place. We followed behind Whitesboro with 4th place and were ahead of S&S with 6th place.

 Pole Vault- Campbell Cooper placed 1st with a height of 7-0. Behind her was Jenna Cole from Whitesboro with a height of 5’-6. In highjump Campbell Cooper tied for 1st place with Madison Pokluda from Whitesboro, with a height of 4’-4” but Campbell had less misses so she took the gold medal. In 3rd place Karis Galvan got a height of 4’-0”. In 4th place Finlee Wyrick jumped a height of 3’-10”.  

End Results–  Overall Ponder placed 3rd place with 93 points.  Paradise placed 2nd with 128 points  and Whitesboro placed 1st with 133 points total.
