Basketball was created in 1891. It was created by James Naismith in Springfield. Massachusettes. He was a physical education teacher that needed a game less agressive and prone to injury. The NBA was established in 1946, it slowly started to gain popularity and eneded up becoming the billion dollar that we all know.
