Thank you Coach Vanover for your time answering these questions we had about the 7th grade B team game against Paradise. The score was 7-15 for the first set and 9-15 for the second set. Coach Vanover said that three takeaways he took from the game were that we got past first game jitters, we moved our feet better in the second set, we started to call the ball more. He thinks we could have improved on receiving the ball off of the serve and serving better when we had the chance. In Coach’s words, he said “ The first game is always tough for 7th graders, I’m sure we can fix our mistakes this week in practice” and he also said when we asked him about the teammate/player of the game “ I don’t ever do these. We are one team, win or lose.
