On Thursday night the 8th grade junior high hosted Nocona junior high in our opening game. The ponder 8th grade team coasted to a 52-6  victory. It was a 46-6 halftime lead for the lions, so this allowed us to get all the athletes on the field for some valuable game experience!

Mason Shirley #44 made a few carries, he broke several tackles en route to a couple of 50 to 60 yard runs.Also both quarterbacks Gage Ersch ,and Makson Allred directions the offenses in a very efficient way. Brandon Brock #2 really stood out with his blocking from the Z wide receiver position. Noah long also made some good blocks.ON defense #85 Aaron Reyes Jr,pretty much dominated the game by making tackles  constantly behind the line of scrimmage.

The special teams game was pretty much spotless in all parts of the kicking game.Mason Shirley did the kickoff and and kicked the ball very well, the coverage was excellent.

The competition should be better than last week, so we are really looking forward to the challenge!
