Choir Solo and Ensemble

Hannah Crocker

For the choir solo and ensemble we had about 27 students compete. We had to get to the Ponder band and choir hall before 8 a.m. and it was very early. We left the band and choir hall at 8:15 a.m. and we were on our way to Pilot Point, it was a 45 min drive to Pilot point. When we were almost there we had to do warm-ups on our way there. When we got there we had to go to the cafeteria but it was a no sing and no play zone. The first solo started at 9:30 a.m. and the last one ended around 1 and 2 p.m. Lunch was around 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and it was good we had Sonic. Once we were done we waited about 15 to 30 mins till the solos started again. Once we were all done we headed back to Ponder and when we were on our way back we got our papers with our final ratings. When we got to Ponder we got our medals and let me tell you everybody was so happy. When we got off the bus we took a group choir picture and we were free to go home. I want to congratulate everybody who competed in the solo and ensemble and congrats with your final ratings.
