The first cross country meet was at S&S on Saturday the 5th. Ponder Junior High boys placed 3rd as a team.The top runners for the first meet was Willie Norwood who placed 8th, then Makson Allred that came in 16th, and Taylor Weiland who placed 17th. The most improved runner this week is Taylor Weiland, he ran 1 minute faster beating his best time from last year. Coach Hendrix, the Cross Country coach said, “It was a good start to the year. Many guys got out there and competed. We’ve been working hard each morning and I expect the next meet to be even better.”
