Ponder Junior High traveled to Nocona Thursday for their football games.

Ponder 7th grade fell short to the Indians 42-6. Jimmy Camacho had a 70+ yard TD run though.

“Danger may be existent, but fear is non-existent.” Coach McBeth said to the seventh grade team at halftime Thursday. That was only part of his pep talk that lifted up his team to play better defense in the second half. Ponder has been working hard lately and did not give up no matter the circumstances. Two great examples of this were Kasen Hastings and Brannock Sorenson for the 8th grade Ponder team. Even when they were down big you could still see that they were fighting as hard as they were in the beginning. There were some great plays made by the 8th grade team, but luck wasn’t on their side as they couldn’t find the end zone as they let this one slip by in a 50-0 loss. It doesn’t matter if Ponder loses 100-0 though, because we will always have or lion pride! Come cheer our Lions on at our first home game on Thursday against the S&S Rams!
